Abstract
Information is given on a Monte Carlo transport code developed to obtain estimates of organ dose equivalents and the effective dose equivalent in an anthropoid male phantom (MIRD) for external neutron beams with energies between thermal and 14 MeV. Dose equivalents were calculated for neutron incidences on the front, the back, the left side of the phantom and rotating around its vertical axis. The results are presented in tabular and graphical form and are compared with similar results from two other groups. Some deviations are discussed and conclusions in relation to further work are drawn.
