Quantitative Thermal Imaging to Assess Inositol Nicotinate Treatment for Raynaud's Syndrome

Abstract
The objective assessment of thermography was used to quantify the response to cold stress in the hands of sufferers from Raynaud's Syndrome over a period of 36 weeks while on inositol nicotinate (Hexopal) in a dose of 4 g per day. Objective improvement was observed in the thermal gradient of the hand after cold challenge (RTG) following this sustained treatment. Statistically significant improvements were noted on four of the five subjective assessments. No drug-related adverse reactions were noted.
