Abstract
It is shown that the properties of long polymers in a solution can be determined by direct renormalization of fundamental quantities such as end to end distances of polymers and virial coefficients. As an example, the second virial coefficient of a monodisperse polymer solution and the critical indices γ, ν and ω, are calulated to first order in ε = 4 - d(d = dimension of space). The method is quite general and applies also to polydisperse polymersKeywords
