Malignant Bladder Tumors in a Man and His Three Sons

Abstract
Bladder carcinoma developed in a man and his three sons. Chemical exposures suspected in bladder carcinogenesis could not be identified in the environment of this family, so a genetically controlled mechanism was considered. Urinary tryptophan metabolites, which have been implicated in the origin of some forms of bladder cancer, were normal in the two survivors with this neoplasm.
