Abstract
The length of stay of 38 admissions to a UK inpatient drug treatment facility was related to psychological and social factors. Psychoticism, extraversion, social pressure on the patient at admission and separation from parents during childhood were relevant. It is suggested that different factors may be important during drug withdrawal and rehabilitation. The study failed to replicate the results of recent American and English work in this field. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
