Abstract
The composition of (Ag1-y Li y )(Nb1-x Ta x )O3 ceramics has been investigated by X-ray analysis and dielectric measurement. Li1+ was substituted into the Ag1+ lattice site of Ag(Nb, Ta)O3 ceramics. The solubility limit of Li2O in Ag(Nb, Ta)O3 was estimated to be in the range from 10 to 15 mol%. The crystal phase and dielectric properties of the (Ag1-y Li y )(Nb1-x Ta x )O3 ceramics significantly changed with Li and Ta concentrations. The crystal phase changed from rhombohedral to monoclinic, tetragonal and cubic with temperature. Strong ferroelectricity was observed via D-E hysteresis measurement, and remanent polarization P r=23 µC/cm2 and coercive field E c=22 kV/cm were obtained. Keywords
