Abstract
1. Occlusion of the anus prevents the uptake of water from subsaturated atmospheres. 2. It is suggested that the site of uptake is the rectum. 3. The implications of this finding are discussed in relation to other reported cases of uptake. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
