Riccati Transformations for Eigenvalues of Systems of Linear Ordinary Differential Equations with Separated Boundary Conditions

Abstract

An initial value method is presented for the calculation of characteristic lengths of systems of ordinary differential equations with separated boundary conditions. Numerical examples are included which demonstrate the efficacy of the method.
