Abstract
In another paper1 we have reported the synthesis of cligomeric poly(oxyethyleneglyccl) derivatives of the title compound. One of these derivatives was orally administered to human volunteers, and proved to be able to give much higher and more sustained blood levels of Urscdecxycholic acid (UDCA) than the free acid, if given in equivalent doses. This prompted us to study also high molecular weight polymeric derivatives of UDCA.Keywords
