Abstract
Intensive yellow pigmentation is seen in cultures of Mycobacterium tuberculosis growing in 1:1000 to 1:3000 concs, of p-aminobenzoic acid after about 1 week''s incubation; 1:250 to 1:500 concs, of p-aminobenzoyl-diethylamino-ethanol hydrochloride (Procaine) are also effective. This pigment may be related to the Vitamin B complex, but it is not identical with Vitamin B2.
