RECENT BARLEY MUTANTS AND THEIR LINKAGES II. GENETIC DATA FOR FURTHER MUTANTS

Abstract
Linkage data and descriptions of 26 mutants in cultivated barley are presented. Four new genes are assigned to chromosome 1, three to 2, two to 3, four to 6 and five to 7. Approximate locations of 8 of these genes within their respective linkage groups are indicated. Evidence suggestive of two-gene control with interaction for some of the mutant traits is presented, and a method of analysis for determining the gene-recombination with marker genes, when this control is by dominant-and-recessive epistasis, is discussed.
