Dose Distribution in Moving Beam Cobalt 60 Teletherapy—A Generalised Calculation Method

Abstract

The theory and practical application are presented of a new method for the calculation of dose distributions obtained with moving beams of 60Co radiation. The method is based on a generalization of the tumor-air-ratio principle and was proved adequate by means of experimental investigation in a specially designed water phantom.
