Abstract
An unoxidized Al surface was irradiated by 50-keV electrons at grazing incidence. A peak in the spectrum of the electromagnetic radiation emitted from the target was found at an energy of 9.7 eV. It was interpreted as radiative decay of the tangential surface plasmon. Keywords
