Abstract
The dependence of the efficiency of the fast Geiger-Müller counter upon the partial pressures of argon and alcohol is investigated. No change in the efficiency of an argon-alcohol counter is found when the pressure of the argon is changed from 11 cm to 74.5 cm; furthermore a change exceeding 0.5 percent is incompatible with the results. Keywords
