Abstract
Calculations are reported for the total ionisation cross sections for positron impact ionisation from the ground state of atomic hydrogen in the incident-positron energy range 20.4-68 eV using a number of approximations which allow for the initial and final channel distortions as well as for the effect of screening in the final state of the ionising system. The present results are compared with existing theoretical calculations. Keywords
