Contrast Infusion Nephropyelography

Abstract
A series of 55 patients have been evaluated by infusion nephropyelography. Forty-eight studies were definitely contributory to a roentgenologic diagnosis, particularly in 20 patients who had a previous suboptimal intravenous pyelogram and 11 patients who were suspected of having renal mass lesions. This simple, safe procedure may be accomplished by any x-ray department or office with minimal patient preparation and no dehydration. Infusion nephropyelography is a valuable adjunct to the diagnosis of renal mass lesions, azotemia, renal vascular disease, and congenital anomalies.
