A Method of Preparing Adrenal Cell Suspensions and Its Applicability to thein VitroStudy of Adrenal Metabolism

Abstract
A method or preparation of a rat adrenal cell suspension is described. The adrenal cell suspension is much more sensitive to the steroidogenic action of ACTH than are adrenal slices or homogenates. The adrenal cell suspension is also efficient in converting exogenous precursors into corticosterone. The adrenal cell suspension might be a versatile tool in adrenal physiology.
