Abstract
The viscosity, streaming birefringence, and sedimentation of a sample of poly‐4‐vinyl‐N‐n‐butylpyridinium bromide have been measured in aqueous and in sodium chloride solutions. The theory of Peterlin for concentrated solutions has been found to be in agreement with the results. Values of the molecular weight have been calculated by different methods and a value of 9 × 105 has been chosen. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
