Abstract
Bilateral electrolytic destruction of the amygdala in male rats does not significantly interfere with thyrotropin or corticotropin secretion by the pituitary, but gonadotropin production appears definitely reduced. The amygdalectomized rats were adipsic and aphagic.Keywords
