Synthesis and structural characterization of [Au9{P(p-C6H4OMe)3}8](BF4)3; a cluster with a centred crown of gold atoms

Abstract

The single crystal X-ray analysis of [Au₉{P(p-C₆H₄OMe)₃}₈]-(BF₄)₃; has provided the first example of a cluster compound with a metal atom incorporated into the centre of a puckered ring of like metal atoms.
