Abstract
SUMMARY: The metabolic fate of administered progesterone (pregn-4-en-3,20-dione) has been investigated in three pig-tail monkeys (Macaca nemestrina). Androsterone (3α-hydroxy-5α-androstan-17-one) was a quantitatively important urinary metabolite. Metabolites were also found in substantial amounts in fractions corresponding to pregnanediol and to more polar compounds, but 5β-pregnane-3α,20α-diol itself was not a major urinary metabolite. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
