Granulomatous Angiitis

Abstract

To the Editor: Granulomatous angiitis is a rare and uniformly fatal necrotizing vasculitis confined primarily to the central nervous system. A recent CPC (N Engl J Med 295:944, 1976) illustrates the ostensibly protean manifestations of this disease, as well the difficulty encountered in making the correct clinical diagnosis. Of interest and importance are the clinical and diagnostic aspects of this disease, topics that were not discussed in the CPC.
