Abstract
The electrostatic interaction between 4f2 and 5d2 was calculated from the wavefunctions with Slater integrals G1‐492 cm—1, G3 = 44.5 cm—1 and G5 = 2.94 cm—1. When this configuration interaction was taken into account the calculated spectrum of Pr3+ was in better agreement with the experimental data. Keywords
