Abstract
The photoionization cross section for Ar I is calculated from threshold to 50 eV by means of many-body perturbation theory. Good agreement is obtained with the experimental data of Madden, Ederer, and Codling, including resonances. It is found that a low-order calculation is adequate. Keywords
