Direct Liquid Scintillation Counting of Biological Fluids

A simple scintillator system for the direct counting of low ³⁵S activites in biological fluids is described. The method has been thoroughly tested. As it is very simple it is particularly well-suited for counting serial specimens. The fluid to be counted must be constant in all other qualities than the amount of ³⁵S. The same scintillator system was found to be efficient and accurate for tritiated water.
