Phosphorus–fluorine chemistry. Part XXI. Pentafluorophenylfluorophosphines and pentafluorophenylfluorophosphoranes

Abstract

The preparation of the fluorophosphines, (C₆F₅)_nPF_3–n, and of the fluorophosphoranes, (C₆F₅)_nPF_5–n, as well as of the related oxygen species, (C₆F₅)_nP(:O)F_3–n(n= 1, 2) is described. ¹⁹F and ³¹P N.m.r. data for the new compounds are reported and discussed.
