Abstract
Outsourcing is often viewed in dollars-and-cents terms. Traditional “make or buy” thinking can prevail. However, this approach ignores the long-run and possible strategic implications. When this thinking is applied to IS, or any other major function of the organization, it can be dangerous—even fatal. Keywords
