Abstract
The glycerol content of subcutaneous adipose tissue was determined in newborn infants, older infants and normal adults. It increased rapidly after birth and then fell again. On incubating adipose tissue in vitro the rate of glycerol release into the medium was highest during the 1st 4 postnatal hr.Keywords
