Abstract
The characteristics of the mechanism(s) for accumulation of L-cystine and L-cysteine by rat kidney cortex in vitro were examined. Dissimilarities in dependence of uptake of the 2 amino acids on oxygen, Na concentration, pH, and temperature indicate that different transport systems may be operative for each of these sulfur-containing amino acids.This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
