Abstract
The standard intensities of the Raman bands of CH3CN, CD3CN, CH3CCl3 and CD3CCl3 have been obtained for the liquids with a photoelectric, grating spectrometer. The intensity sum rules for isotopic homologues are valid within the experimental error. The infrared spectra of CD3CN and CD3CCl3 have been obtained in the liquid phase and in the vapor phase. A definitive assignment of v11(e) has been made for methyl chloroform.
