Magnetic properties of some off-stoichiometric Ti(Fe0.5Co0.5) compounds

Abstract
Magnetovolume experiments on non-stoichiometric Ti(Fe0.5Co0.5) compounds show that the ferromagnetic behaviour of the stoichiometric compound must be ascribed to the presence of Fe,Co antistructure atoms in a highly susceptible matrix. The effect of pressure on the matrix susceptibility is analysed in terms of the ratio of the effective (I) and bare (Ib) interactions between the itinerant electrons.
