Abstract
THE recently demonstrated effectiveness of chlorothiazide as a diuretic and antihypertensive agent has led to its increasing use in the treatment of congestive cardiac failure and hypertension. For this reason, the occurrence of jaundice in a patient taking this compound is of interest.Case ReportO.G., a 62-year-old colored woman, was known to have had diabetes mellitus since 1948 that had required hospital care for regulation on several occasions.
