Addendum to Three-Particle Channels in Nuclear Reaction Theory

Abstract
In the original article, a description of three-body channels in terms of two-cluster channel wave functions was proposed. It was stated in that article that each class of two-cluster channels could contribute simultaneously to the three-particle flux. This conclusion was based on the absence of any apparent reason for excluding contributions from any class of two-cluster channels. However, we are able to show here that, in fact, only one two-cluster channel can contribute to the amplitude for a given three-body final state when the channel radii are taken to be infinite, as may be done in some forms of reaction theory.
