Threshold-Luminance for Recognition in Relation to Frequency of Prior Exposure

Abstract
"Each of 10 nonsense-words was exposed 1, 2, 5, 10, or 25 times to 12 Os, and recognition-thresholds were then measured in terms of the minimal luminance-level required for correct identification. Threshold-luminance, like threshold-duration, is a function of familiarity, but there seems to be differences in the two functions.".
