Serological Studies of Mycobacteria by means of Diffusion-in-Gel Techniques

Abstract

Immune sera against these 4 species of Mycobacterium showed a multiplicity of precipitation lines in Ouchterlony tests against homologous extract. Considerable species specificity of the reaction was found, which is thought to be of taxonomic importance. No difference was found between the reaction of human and bovine tubercle bacilli.
