Abstract

The fat of dermoid cysts contains esters of cholesterol and other sterols including dihydrocholesterol in abundance. The presence of ergos-terol was indicated by a color reaction and by its antirachitic action after irradiation. Vitamin A could not be detected chemically or by bio-assay. The estrus hormone was absent.
