Abstract
To the Editor: The letters of Kasper (N Engl J Med 289:160, 1973) and of Steinberg and Dreiling (N Engl J Med 289:592, 1973) reported thrombotic complications in patients with hemophilia B who had received prothrombin complex. Dr. Kasper suggested that this might be related to the presence of activated clotting factors in the prothrombin complex.
