THE TIME OF VAGINAL OPENING IN RATS AFTER OVARIAN AUTOTRANSPLANTATION

Abstract
The ovaries of immature rats were transplanted beneath the infrahyoid muscles in the neck. Litter-mate controls were anaesthetized or subjected to a mock operation. The control animals tended to have open vaginae at an earlier age, but the age at which the vaginal closure membrane had broken down in the two groups was not significantly different.
