Singular part of the hydrogen dipole matrix element

Abstract
The singular part of the hydrogen dipole matrix element is exactly calculated. The result can be of interest for both quantum electrodynamics (bremsstrahlung, Rayleigh scattering) and quantum optics (above-threshold ionisation). Comparison with approximate methods is performed.Keywords
