Abstract
It is shown that the linear splitting in a magnetic field of the thermal anomaly () observed recently in liquid at about 2.5 mK can be explained by postulating pairing in a state of odd relative angular momentum. Further structure is predicted, and implications of the theory and experiment are discussed.
