Abstract
Thirty-nine Type 1 diabetic patients were asked to complete an Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ). A significant relationship was found between neuroticism scores and glycosylated haemoglobin concentrations (r = 0.43, p < 0.01) and also fructosamine (r = 0.45, p < 0.01). Patients with glycosylated haemoglobin concentrations greater than or equal to 10 (n = 13) had significantly higher neuroticism scores than patients with glycosylated haemoglobin results less than or equal to 8 (n = 11) (p < 0.01).Keywords
