Abstract
We report measurements of the spectral densities J 1(θ0) and J 2(2θ0) for the deuterons in 4-n-pentyl-d11-4′-cyanobiphenyl-d4 in its nematic phase at two frequencies. The implications of the observed frequency dependence of J 1(θ0) and J 2(2θ0) for theories of spin relaxation in liquid crystals are discussed. Keywords
