Abstract
The aldobiouronic acid 6-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyluronic acid)-D-galactose and D-glucuronic acid have been isolated from a hydrolyzate of an arabinogalactan from tamarack (Larix laricina). The identity of the aldobiouronic acid and the evidence for homogeneity of the polysaccharide showed that these acidic components are almost certainly constituents of the arabinogalactan. Keywords
