Optical writing on blue, sputtered iridium oxide films

Abstract
Optical writing on sputtered iridium oxide films is reported. Optical changes on a 1-μm scale have been observed with a low-power helium neon laser. The basic writing mechanism is thermally induced dehydration at temperatures well below the melting point.Keywords
