An exploration of somatic Response patterns: Stimulus and sex differences.

Abstract
Twelve measures of autonomic and skeletal activity, such as GSR, pulse, finger volume, respiration and muscle action potentials, were taken on male and female human subjects as they were being exposed to a variety of pictorial material. Analysis of results showed consistency of response as a function of stimulus in males but not females, and also an interaction effect in the former. Males showed greater total responsiveness. It is concluded that "an interaction of response variables with experimental variables is rather common.".
