Abstract
Jejunal biopsies were carried out on 17 patients with kwashiokor. The specimens had ridge or leaf-shaped villi with increased cellularity of the substantia propria. The epithelial cells are short with irregular nuclei. This change does not appear to be related to folic acid deficiency. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
