Abstract
A quick, accurate method for the measurement of 17,21-di-hydroxy-20-ketosteroids is described. The method consists of extraction with 2 volumes of chloroform and chromatography of the dried chloroform extract on a silica gel column. A 1 ml serologic pipette is used as the column. Silica gel (100 mg), suspended in chloroform, is placed in the column. The residue dissolved in chloroform is placed on the silica gel and the column is developed with 0.2% and 10% solutions of absolute ethanol in chloroform. The eluants were assayed by a micro Porter-Silber procedure. Keywords
