Abstract
When leaf sections of 7-day old dark grown wheat leaves were incubated in white light, they unrolled and greened. Gibberellic acid was able to replace the light requirement and abscisic acid (ABA) inhibited the response to light. The percentage of ribosomes occurring as polysomes increased in response to light but not in response to GA3 treatment. Although ABA inhibited the unrolling and greening in light, it did not cause a preferential decrease or inhibition of polysome formation. Keywords
