Abstract
Crystalline urobilin was isolated repeatedly from pathologic urines and was shown to be identical with stercobilin which had previously been isolated in crystalline form by the author from human feces. It was shown that mesobilirubinogen (urobilino-gen) (fecal or urinary) gives rise to two oxidation products, one of which is urobilin or stercobilin, the other mesobiliviolin.
