Abstract
A simple empirical equation for estimating the dipole moment of a molecule from dielectric constant measurement in solutions without any density and refraction data is suggested. The equation has been shown to be derived from an approximation of the Guggenheim‐Smith equation for orientational polarization, as modified by Palit.Keywords
